NYFW has just ended, so while I am having withdrawals I decided to make a list of some of the most memorable moments from this week. Here are my top five most memorable moments of NYFW SS 2017.

The Most Memorable….

1. The Unveiling of Pat McGrath’s Lust Lipstick

This lipstick is a show stopper…glittery pouts are in and I couldn’t be more excited to try this trend!

2. Snapchat Filters

Disigual played on pop culture with Snapchat filtered makeup, bringing our filters to real life.

3. Shows are more of an experience

Designers are opting out of traditional shows and instead are creating more of an “experience.”  Some designers are showcasing outside like Tommy Hilfiger who turned Pier 16 into a romantic carnival. Tom Ford wined & dined his guests, while Michael Kors, & Rebecca Minkhoff serenaded theirs.

I literally can't get enough of this...one of my favorite shows.

4. Bill Cunningham Tribute

Photographers wore blue coats to pay tribute to legendary photographer Bill Cunningham, the original photographer of the “blogger” “candid” “street style”  you see filling up your social feeds now a days. Thank you so much Bill for paving the way!

5. Diversity is IN!

We are finally seeing designers take the initiative to cast more diversely for their collections. Most notably at Christian Siriano we saw curves and more ethnicities on the catwalk. I like to think this came from a push from a specific model, Ashely Chew who rocked NYFW last year by making a not so subtle statement on a fashion piece of her own…#BLACKMODELSMATTER bag. More models are standing up for changes in the industry and I couldn’t be more excited.
Like the beautiful Ashley Graham who is also paving the way for fuller figured women by debuting her curvey girl line collaboration with Addition Elle.

Well done NYFW!
